Tendy Lucus guide

Follow these steps to quickly set up and activate your Lucus device.

1. Download the Tendy App

Search for Tendy in the App Store or Google Play and install it on your phone.

2. Create and Verify Your Account

Open the app and create your account. Verify your email address to activate it.

  • If you’re a new user, the app will automatically show a list of devices to connect.
    → Select Lucus.
  • If you already have an account, go to “Add Device” in the menu and choose Lucus.

3. Activate Your Lucus Subscription

To use your Lucus device, you’ll need an active Premium + Lucus Subscription, which also includes all Premium features in the Tendy app.

1 active Lucus: 499 SEK/year
2 active Lucus: 799 SEKyear
3 active Lucus: 1099 SEK/year
4 active Lucus: 1399 SEK/year
5 active Lucus: 1699 SEK/year

Choose and activate your subscription directly in the Tendy app.

4. Power On Your Lucus Device

  1. Remove your Lucus from the box.
  2. Connect the USB-C cable to your Lucus.
  3. Plug it into a USB-C wall adapter (not included).

Once connected, the device will automatically wake up from “Shipping Mode” and start booting.

5. Ensure Good Network Coverage

During first startup, Lucus needs strong network coverage to connect properly.

Place the device near a window or outside during setup for best signal.

Connection time may vary depending on coverage.

6. Connect Lucus to the Tendy App

When Lucus is powered and connected:

  • Open the Tendy app
  • Scan the QR code on the back of your Lucus device

Your Lucus will now register to your account. It may take up to 5 minutes before you start seeing temperature data in the app.

Notifications

Temperature warnings
Here you can set your preferred Min/Max temperature. When the temperature goes under 6℃ you will receive a notification is turned on. Don't forget to save your settings when changed

Battery warnings
Enable to get notifications when your device battery level is low, you will get notifications when the battery level is at 20%, 10% and 5%.

Share with hunting team
Allow members in your hunting team to also receive the same notifications. Each member can turn of their notifications.

Turn the device ON/OFF

1. Power on the device: press the power button for 5 seconds.

2. Shut down the device: press the power button for 5 seconds.

3. Quick press the button (1 sek) to wake the device from sleep mode.

⚠️ Note: The button is touch-sensitive and not a physical push button

⚠️ Note: For best network coverage, start the device outdoors. It may take up to five minute for the device to activate and connect to the network. Once connected, the device will automatically update data every five minutes.

⚠️ WARNING - Do not attempt to disassemble the product. Internal components are not user-serviceable and opening the device may damage it, void the warranty, or pose safety risks.

Precautions

General

  • Do not use the device for any purpose other than its intended use.
  • Keep the product out of reach of children and pets.
  • Do not disassemble, modify, or repair the unit unless authorized to do so.
  • Use only original accessories and components.

Electrical Safety

  • Do not expose the device to moisture, rain, or liquid spills.
  • Ensure the device is connected to a properly rated power source.
  • Unplug the product during lightning storms or when unused for long periods.
  • Never attempt to replace internal batteries or components unless stated.

Environmental

  • Do not use or store the device in environments with excessive dust, heat, or humidity.
  • Operating temperature: -10℃~+40℃
  • Storage temperature: ~+20℃
  • Avoid exposing the device to direct sunlight or heat sources.

Handling and Maintenance

  • Clean with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
  • Do not drop, crush, or subject the device to strong impact.
  • If abnormal heat, smell, or smoke is detected, disconnect power immediately and contact support.

Wireless Communication

  • This device emits radio signals. Keep a safe distance from pacemakers and other sensitive medical equipment.
  • Do not use in areas where wireless use is restricted, such as airplanes or hospitals, unless permitted.

Data Protection and Privacy

This product (Tendy Lucus) collects and transmits data such as temperature, device status, and optional location/motion data to the Tendy app. Certain data may be considered personal data under GDPR.

By activating and using the device, you consent to this data being processed according to our Privacy Policy or via QR-code.

Data is stored securely and only for as long as necessary to provide the service (see Privacy Policy for details). You can withdraw consent or delete your data at any time via the app.
