Description
Tendy Lucus 4G - The world's first connected aging timer
Tendy Lucus builds on the technology from its little brother Nemus but has two major changes: a powerful rechargeable 4000 mAh battery and 4G connectivity that lets you follow your aging process in real time - wherever you are.
Despite its performance and range of features, the device weighs only 165 grams and is easy to place with the separate wall mount. With its combination of 4G, Bluetooth, and global eSIM coverage, Lucus is part of the next generation ecosystem for meat handling from Tendy. Lucus is the first aging timer of its kind and opens up new possibilities.
Real-time connection & notifications
Lucus updates data every five minutes directly to the Tendy app. You get a full overview of temperature, humidity, and status in real time. You can also set your own temperature limits and receive notifications if anything changes. This way, you can be sure your meat is always stored under the right conditions.
Long operating time
Lucus is equipped with a rechargeable 4000 mAh battery that provides up to 30 days of operation depending on ambient temperature, measurement interval, and usage. Charging is conveniently done via USB-C.
Smart BLE hub for the future
In addition to 4G, Lucus also has built-in BLE 5.2. This means it can act as a hub for other Tendy devices in the future, for example, retrieving data from a Nemus within range and sending it directly to the app or turning on a fan in the dog shelter. Note: Functionality not yet launched.
Robust design
For maximum durability and waterproofing, Lucus has no mechanical buttons that can break. The only button is a pressure-sensitive touch button, providing high durability and IP66-rated protection against moisture and dust. Lucus is built to operate in all environments - from the cold room to the dog shelter.
Premium + Lucus subscription
To use Lucus, a Tendy Premium + Lucus subscription is required, costing 499 SEK/year for one unit. This includes all other premium features in the Tendy app and data traffic for a full year. You can have up to 5 Lucus units, and you adjust your subscription based on how many units you want. Prices for Lucus subscription:

Tendy Lucus 4G – more uses than just for the slaughterhouse
Tendy Lucus 4G is developed for professional meat handling, but its smart features make it just as useful in other environments – such as in the dog coat. Buy a few more mounts and easily move your Lucus around.

In the dog coat
With real-time connection via 4G, you can monitor temperature and humidity directly in the app, no matter where you are. The same feature that ensures optimal aging in a cold room works just as effectively to keep track of the climate in a dog coat during hunting.
You can easily set your own temperature limits and receive notifications if anything changes. This means that Lucus not only monitors but also gives you peace of mind.
Thanks to the powerful battery with up to 30 days of operation and the robust, IP66-rated design, Lucus is built to withstand all types of environments. It works just as well in cold, moisture, and tough conditions.
Lucus opens up even more uses where control and connectivity make a difference.

In the wine cooler
The Tendy Lucus 4G works just as well in the wine fridge as in more demanding environments. With real-time connectivity, you can easily monitor temperature and humidity directly in the app, which is crucial for optimal wine storage. By setting your own limits and receiving notifications of changes, you get full control over the climate – so your wines are stored under perfect conditions, every day.

Can I use Lucus even where there is poor reception?
No, Lucus requires network reception in order to send data to the app. It is difficult to say beforehand whether you have good reception where you plan to place your Lucus, but generally speaking, if you don’t have signal on your phone, a Lucus device probably won’t either. Lucus has a strong antenna and should actually have better reception than a regular phone, but this is not something we can guarantee.
Can I subscribe for a period shorter than one year?
No, subscriptions for Lucus are signed for one year at a time and cannot be held for shorter periods.
Can I share the device and data with my hunting companions?
Yes, that works perfectly fine. What you need to do is start a hunting team and add the device to the hunting team. Then all participants in the hunting team can use the Lucus device, and you can also add current aging processes in the hunting team so everyone can see them.
To be part of a hunting team, all members must have a premium subscription for 299 SEK/year.
Only the owner of Lucus needs to pay for the Lucus subscription (499 SEK/year) and the data traffic.
How many dry-aging processes can I run at the same time?
You have an unlimited number of different aging processes simultaneously with your Lucus, which is synced to the Tendy app.
Is the Tendy app available for both iOS and Android?
Yes, you can download the Tendy app from the App Store or from Google Play. Search for Tendy.
Is it free to download and use the Tendy app?
Yes, the app is completely free for both iOS & Android users.
To use Tendy Lucus 4G, you need a subscription. It works just like a phone subscription where you pay a fixed fee for a full year of data traffic.

Can I change the operator/SIM card in my Lucus?
No, the SIM card in Lucus is integrated and cannot be replaced with another operator or SIM card.
Which operators does Lucus use to connect to the network?
Lucus has a roaming SIM card which makes it possible to switch between operators and use the operator's network that provides the best connection.
This means your Lucus device can connect to the best local network wherever you want to use your device. No matter where in the world you are.
The price for your Lucus subscription is always fixed and does not change if you use the device outside the country borders.
How long is the range of Lucus?
Since Lucus is connected to the network (4G/5G), the range is essentially worldwide as long as your Lucus and your phone have mobile network coverage.
If you have poor mobile network where you want to use your Lucus, unfortunately it may not be possible to use the device because Lucus requires a connection to the mobile network to be able to send data to the Tendy app.
Lucus also seems to have the ability to connect via Bluetooth, how does that work?
That's correct, Lucus has a built-in BLE module (5.2) that allows you to connect other Bluetooth products to Lucus.
For example, you can retrieve temperature/humidity from other devices like Nemus and send it to the app via Lucus.
Lucus will also be able to control other devices that can connect via Bluetooth, such as a fan in the dog coat.
The Bluetooth functionality is not fully developed yet and will be something we launch gradually. We cannot say when the first Bluetooth functionality will be available for Lucus.
Lucus is prepared for Bluetooth functionality, and there is nothing you need to add or change in the future for it to work; it is development and collaborations with external partners that will come in the future.
It says that Lucus has built-in GPS, how do you use it?
That's correct, Lucus has a built-in GPS module that allows you to see exactly where your Lucus device is as long as the device has network access.
The GPS functionality is not fully developed yet and will be something we launch gradually. As it stands now, no GPS positions are shared from the device. We will clearly inform you when the GPS feature is available and if you wish to use the functionality.
We cannot say when the GPS functionality will be developed and ready to launch.
Is it possible to get notifications when it is too hot/cold from Lucus?
Yes, you can easily set it to receive a notification when the temperature, for example, goes below -1℃ or above 20℃. You will then get a notification directly in the app. It is important that you have approved the Tendy app to send notifications to you.
It is also possible to share the functionality so that everyone in a hunting team where your Lucus is shared receives notifications at the threshold values you have set.
Is it possible to change the interval at which Lucus sends data?
No, Lucus sends data every 5 minutes to the Tendy app when it is turned on and you have a curing process running. It is not possible to change the interval at which data is sent from Lucus.
How often does the device measure and send the temperature/humidity?
Lucus sends data with temperature and humidity every five minutes to the Tendy app.
How long does the included battery last?
The battery in Lucus is a rechargeable 4000 mAh battery that holds a charge for about 30 days, although this depends greatly on temperature and how often the device sends data.
If you store your Lucus device at room temperature and do not keep it in a cold room, the battery will last longer when you are not using your device for aging.
Is the button on Lucus a touch button, and how do I turn the device on and off?
It is true that the button on Lucus is a touch button; in fact, there is only one button on Lucus. This is to ensure that the device meets IP66 rating and has no parts that can let in moisture or break.
To turn on your Lucus, hold the touch button for about 5 seconds.
To turn off the device, do the same and hold the touch button for about 5 seconds.
The button does not give any "response" or can be pressed down.
